Critical Miss is a series in which I talk about my screwups as a DM. After every session, I try to talk about the mistakes I made and how, in retrospect, I would fix them. Maybe some of you can learn from my fumbles, for me, itโ€™s too late ๐Ÿ˜‰.


Dragon Queen – a casual campaign I run for 3 of my friends, that is basically pure “Hoard of the Dragon Queen” module. The last session was the only encounter expected on Mire of Dead Men, but because in previous sessions the team had no trouble dealing with expected encounters (module forces a lot of small fights that never challenged players, it was just a drag) I tried to up the stakes a bit. Instead of throwing 8 Giant Frogs or 2 Orges at the party, I served them a Hydra – perfect swamp-based beast.

Critical Miss – You attack the Zoo

Critical Miss is a series in which I talk about my screwups as a DM. After every session, I try to talk about the mistakes I made and how, in retrospect, I would fix them. Maybe some of you can learn from my fumbles, for me, it’s too late ๐Ÿ˜‰.


World’s End is my, at the moment, oldest campaign. It’s almost pure Dungeons & Dragons (5e) game that started on Faerun. I run it for 2 colleagues and 2 of their friends:

  • Ciri – Tiefling Tomelock
  • Kriss – Half-Elf Bard
  • Perra – Dragonborn Wizard
  • Illiana – Elf Druid

all of them level 5. Their story started as heavy political fiction on the Sword Coast until I realized, that I didn’t ever ask the players if they are into this kind of heavy RP and the world of intrigue.
